Olympian's family raising money for Beijing trip

A New Mexico family is trying to raise money so they can see their son compete in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Last month Joey Hagerty was named to the men's Olympic gymnastics team following his performance at the Olympic trials. The Rio Rancho native and La Cueva High graduate will leave next month to China. His parents and one of his sisters are going too, despite the price to get there. The family says the trip will cost over $30,000.

The RedBrick Pizza restaurant at San Pedro and Paseo Del Norte has agreed to help get the Hagerty's to China. The restaurant will be donating a percentage of Wednesday night's sales to the family. The family is also accepting donations at any Wells Fargo Bank.
